About the two Fishing spots
Two await you on the Krimmler Ache incredibly sympathetic places for your fishing pleasure – once on the upper, once on the lower Ache of this approx. 10 to 20 m wide brook.
- Upper Ache: The meadow river character with smaller mountain stream sections is ideal for fly fishing in Austria. Here you can walk or take the national park taxi.

Tips for the Krimmler Ache
Although the Ache a little in heavier rainfall can cloud over, it usually clears up again quickly. In June after the Melting snow and from the beginning / mid-September to the end of the season around mid-October enjoy the best conditions to catch brook trout, brown trout and grayling fishing. We recommend rods in lengths of approx. 8-9 feet (line classes 5/6) given the windy conditions. Glittering nymphs and classic Dry flies and brown and black streamers are ideal for this Places.
Day tickets are of course available at the Bräurup Fischer Shop . As a guest of our hotel, you also benefit from significantly reduced fish licenses for all waters. Curious? We look forward to your non-binding vacation request !
