From the hotel you go into the city to the Volksbank, from where you take hiking trail 71A towards Unterwimm. After a seamless transition to hiking trail 63, turn left towards Rettenbach. On clear, sunny days, the panoramic view of Mittersill and the Hohe Tauern is particularly beautiful. You get back to the hotel via Achleiten.

North over the Salzach Bridge you reach hiking trail 11 and finally hiking trail 13. The Felbertaler high mountain lakes
The various hiking trails in Mittersill also bring some challenges with them. The circular hiking trail to the high mountain lakes of the Felbertal is suitable for experienced hikers. Let the free hiking shuttle take you to the Hintersee car park and take a walk to the lake. Via the Trudental you can take hiking trail 917 to the Naßfeld, cross the Tauernbach and after 2.5-3 hours you will reach the Plattachsee. If you still have enough energy in your tank, you can extend the tour towards Tauernsee. In dry weather we recommend the descent via the Trassensteig back to the starting point – be careful, it is slippery when wet!

Krimml Waterfall Path
Time for a short excursion to one of the most beautiful natural monuments in Central Europe: the hiking taxi takes you to the tourist office in Krimml. The viewing path now becomes a little steeper and leads to the topmost waterfall level. At the various viewing platforms you can enjoy the panoramic view of the roaring water. Over the Schettbrücke you reach the highest point before, shortly before the Annatunnel, left over the Alten Tauernweg back to the starting point. Attention, the way back requires surefootedness!
